A spoke is added to the wheel at every step. Which wheel does not continue the pattern?

Each new spoke is $45^{\circ }$ clockwise from the last one: up, then upper-right, right, lower-right. The fifth wheel should add the spoke pointing straight down, but (e) adds the lower-left spoke and leaves out the downward one, so (e) is wrong.
