1. Look at the bar graph. Which sport is the most popular in Class 6?
Show answer
Answer: C) Cricket
The tallest bar is Cricket, at 14 students.
2. Which conclusion is best supported by the vehicle graph?
Show answer
Answer: D) Cycles were the most common
The longest bar is for cycles (45). Buses had the fewest; cars (15) were fewer than autos (20); the total was 115.
3. Which of these can NOT be concluded from the sports bar graph?
Show answer
Answer: C) Every student plays cricket at home
The graph shows only favourite sports. It says nothing about who plays cricket at home. The other three can be read from the bars (6 is the least, 10 > 8, total 38).
4. How many girls are there in Class 6 altogether?
Show answer
Answer: C) 60
Girls: 20 + 19 + 21 = 60. (55 is the number of boys.)
5. A bar graph of four shops' sales starts its vertical axis at 40 instead of 0. Why can this mislead a reader?
Show answer
Answer: B) Small differences look very big
If the axis starts at 40, a shop with 42 sales gets a tiny bar and one with 50 gets a bar five times as tall, even though 50 is not five times 42. Starting at 0 keeps bar heights fair.
