2. If two angles are both equal and complementary, each angle measures:

Let each be x. Then x + x = 90, so 2x = 90 and x = 45 deg.
3. If angle P = 35 deg, the difference between its supplement and its complement is:

Supplement = 180 - 35 = 145; complement = 90 - 35 = 55; difference = 145 - 55 = 90 deg. (Always 90 deg for any acute angle.)

Adjacent angles p and q form a linear pair: p + q = 180. Also p = q + 36. So (q + 36) + q = 180, 2q = 144, q = 72, and p = 108 deg.
