Privacy Policy
Launch Policy — effective 25 May 2026, updated 15 September 2026. A formal, lawyer-reviewed policy will replace this version before the paid plans go live.
Practice30 is a math practice platform for students in Classes 6–10. Our current plans are free to use, with no payments collected, while we improve the product. This page explains, in plain language, how we handle your data. By creating an account you confirm that you have read this policy — and, if the learner is under 18, that a parent or legal guardian has read it and consents on the learner’s behalf.
1. Accounts and consent
Each Practice30 account belongs to one learner and is created with an email address (or Google sign-in). The account holder signs in and sees their own practice and progress. For a learner under 18, the account must be created by a parent or legal guardian, or with their consent. The parent or guardian can sign in to the same account at any time to see progress, change details, or delete the account.
2. What we collect (and why)
- Account details: email address and a name or nickname (a nickname is fine), used for login, account recovery, and essential service emails. Passwords are stored only in hashed form; with Google sign-in we receive your name and email from Google.
- Learner details: class/grade, so we can pick questions at the right level. We do not ask for date of birth, address, phone number, school, photo, or any government ID.
- Learning activity: which practice questions were attempted, the answers given, time spent, stars and streak progress. This is what powers the personalised practice and the progress shown in the account.
- Basic technical info: device type, browser version and approximate region — kept only to keep the service running and to diagnose problems.
3. How we use this data
Learning data is used only for the learner’s own practice — picking what to practise next, adjusting difficulty, and showing progress in the account. We do not use it to build behavioural advertising profiles, score creditworthiness, evaluate the learner against external benchmarks, or share it with anyone outside the Practice30 service.
4. No personal identity is shared
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with advertisers, data brokers, social networks, or other third parties. When we report on overall product usage (for example, “how many students practised fractions last week”), we use aggregated, anonymised counts only — no names, no nicknames, no individual scores. No learner can be identified from anything we publish or share.
5. What we do not do
- No ads of any kind shown inside the practice app.
- No selling or renting of personal data to third parties.
- No chat with strangers, no recommended videos, no social feed.
- No tracking pixels from advertising networks on practice pages.
- No use of learning data to train external AI models outside the Practice30 personalisation system.
6. Service providers we rely on
To run the service we use a small set of technical providers (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing for the future paid plans). They process the minimum data needed to deliver their service and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We will list them by name in the formal policy before paid plans go live.
7. Where data is stored
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We aim to store Indian users’ data in Indian or Asia-Pacific regions where practical.
8. Your rights
At any time, the account holder — or, for a learner under 18, their parent or legal guardian — can:
- View what data we hold for the account.
- Export a copy of that data.
- Correct account details.
- Close the account entirely; we remove the data within 30 days other than what is required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
- Opt out of non-essential emails from the account settings or the unsubscribe link in any such email.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@practice30.com from the account’s email address.
9. Security
We use industry-standard practices to keep data safe: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for everything, encryption at rest for stored data, role-based access internally, and routine backups. No service is perfect — if a security event affects your data, we will notify you by email.
10. Learners under 18 — extra care
- An account for a learner under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian to create it or consent to it.
- Learners cannot receive messages from other users or the public internet through Practice30.
- Learners cannot be searched for or contacted by anyone through Practice30.
- When an account is closed, all of its learning data is removed.
11. India-specific notes (DPDP Act 2023)
We are aware of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its requirements around verifiable parental consent for users under 18. Processing of an under-18 learner’s data relies on the consent of a parent or legal guardian given when the account is created. The formal policy will include the named Data Protection Officer, grievance officer, and the full DPDPA notice text required before paid plans go live.
12. Changes to this policy
We will tell you by email and on this page when this policy changes. The most significant change planned is the move from this launch policy to the full, lawyer-reviewed policy before any paid plans go live.
